Carol Mills Kamara, President & Executive Director

Carol Mills Kamara is a New York State-licensed Social Worker who works as a Mental Health Planner & Clinician with children and adolescent clients in the NYS child welfare system. She works with clients with various developmental and situational issues, primarily issues related to attachment & trauma, collaborative problem solving, conflict resolution and parenting. She earned her Social Work degree at Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service where her clinical skills were developed and her concern for socioeconomic justice was awakened. Her BSc. degree in Business Administration was earned at the City University of New York - York College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and later worked in business for over 12 years. Carol also earned a Master of Divinity degree from New York Theological Seminary where she developed a deep interest in poverty issues, transformation and the equipping model of leadership. Sammy Kamara is a youth worker who delights in working with pre-teen & teen males and females. He has worked with children and youths for over 25 years and uses basketball in public parks and other means to reach youths in the Bronx, New York. Marie Dunn is a graduate of Fordham University of Social Service where she majored in Social Work, concentrating in the Leadership and Macro Practice tract. She is a Notary Public and also a trained paralegal specialist with experience as coordinator for a re-entry program for individuals who were incarcerated. Dr. Rosemarie Downer earned her doctoral degree in psychology and is an experienced social science researcher. She is also the founder and president of a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the enrichment of the spiritual and personal development of children, youths and young adults. Dr. Downer has worked in the nonprofit sector as a program director for over 11 years. Chanon Ross, PhD, Director

Chanon Ross is Coordinator for the Connections Project and assistant director of the Institute for Youth Ministry at Princeton Theological Seminary. He has worked in youth and young adult ministry in various capacities for the last ten years. He loves exploring more effective ways of doing youth ministry with people from all backgrounds and denominations.
